The information chain on the Golden Pearl references to it's own drop, not it's drop from the clam. ***Remember as you comment that this drop is in reference to the Big-mouth Clam drop, and not a drop on it's own. ![]() Overall, my suggestion, if you're locating Golden Pearls, is to focus your farming on higher leveled monsters and mobs that drop the Clam. And since Thottbot only lists the looted times, and makes the ratio from that looted number, it is definately likely that people will be misunderstood on the likelyhood of the pearl dropping. The higher the level the monster that drops the clam, the more likely you'll get a Golden Pearl from that clam. The Golden Pearl, and the Big-mouth Clam work exactly this way. And it gets even more complicated, like how Linen drops more often from the 11-19 level bracket of monster spawns than it does from the 5-10 level bracket (by 19, you start getting Wool btw). This statisitc is standard for all the items in WoW, like Elites always drop more uncommon items than regular beasts or mobs enemies of the same level. It happened quite a few times (not with the same character) so after readthing this, all takes some new meaning.Comment by ThottbotA Golden Pearl will drop more often out of a Big-mouth Clam dropped by a high level monster. ![]() Then tired of it gater about 20, and when i returned because just passed a level, so was only opening for the food. i grab about 50 shells and nothing, but opening them asap. and it seems to happen rather for a lot of stuff.įor example if you are wanting a rare item, you mostly never get it if you have one clam and opens it, even if you take 100 of them but open it each time you have 1.īut if you have 20 or 30 and you open them all at the same seams to give more rare item than normally does.Īs if the random of if depends on how much you have at the moment of opening them.Įven more i think that if you do "nothing else" but to open them (not even open a new bag) works even better specially at last.Īnd its due to empirical data so may be was just luck but.as i was looking for iridiscent pearl. Comment by 622557I have found an interesting issue related with clams. ![]()
